This movie really had potential. If I could forget the first 10 minutes and last 15 minutes, "5 stars" wouldn't have been enough to describe this movie. Sean Penn's annoying presence in a movie of this genre does not help.

It definitely will touch a nerve, though it's a bit of an intellectual exercise to figure out who's who and what's what in the meat of the plot. I have a feeling the director simply tried to overdo this question of life and death and, in doing so, flopped what could have been the best film of the 21st century to date.
