Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Taissa C — 08 Sep 2013

I love conceptual cinema but Malick went too far with "The tree of life". The photography is superb, the boys (mainly young Jack) have an incredible actuation but the story line just doesn't work.

It's too much of an ambitious project what we've got here and in terms of continuity and grip we've got none. A big disappointment who put my husband to sleep while I had to keep watching what I would call "a painful film to watch".
