Review of The Tree of Life (2011) by Valentin G — 11 Jul 2015

The ambition of this film is what makes it unique. Try to do a movie that reflects the whole life of a person, is something easy to understand but very complex and difficult to project.

Terrence Malick manages to do it perfectly but it also adds other elements such as the origin of the earth and life that make confuse the viewer.

The cinematography is the most beautiful I ever saw, because it shows us all what we need to see.

I know that many people criticized the film negatively, because they didn't understand it or they felt it very boring, personally I think it's a masterpiece, is not one of my favorite movies but I must admit that is extraordinarily well done and we must adapt to its time to understand the metaphors that surround it.

I'm not a believer, but that didn't represent me any problem at the time to understand the story, so everybody can see it, and fall in love or not.
