Review of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) by Jack F — 04 Feb 2008
Good, but I expected quite a bit more from this tale of greed and circumstance from John Huston. I loved Bogart and Walter Huston, and I really thought that the score was pretty amazing, and I liked the point of the film, but I found it to be a bit too dated and predictable for my taste.
It's far from a bad film, but it's not exactly worthy of being one of the greatest films ever made in my opinion.
