Review of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) by Mark N — 14 Apr 2008
It is an engaging watch, with a great performance from Bogart and a solid script. It would have been more of a masterpiece if things were more believable. The way events seemed to be timed perfectly to move along the story or add dramatic effect was ridiculous.
I was surprised how much of this was in Spanish, yet it was not subtitled. This has been pissing me off lately, as the same thing happened with Midnight Express.
