Review of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) by Bryan T — 14 Jan 2009
Flawed, yes, but my unconstrained love for it earns a five. Awe-inspiring performances from the three leads. As you watch the movie, you realize how risky some of its plot-points are and at the end you gasp that they all cash in.
Phenomenal and terrifying character study that you truly have to see to believe. A pioneer in the art of storytelling and an intoxicating portrait of moral deterioration.
