Review of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) by Calvin C — 05 Feb 2012
At first you think it's about three strangers looking for gold, which it is, but once they find it, greed and paranoia sets in, making each men, espcially Bogart's character question each other's loyalties. This is Bogart's best performance (even better than Casablanca). The madness he falls into is great to watch and believe it or not, it kind of reminded me of "No Country For Old Men" where men would go through any means for a little bit of wealth.
Grade: A.
