Review of The Transporter Refueled (2015) by Norm D — 12 May 2017
+ What can one say? As a fan of the theatrical series since T1, this is a decent reboot, 2nd best since T1 - & better than than the F&F Diesel fume franchise that may never die. This is a Euro-French production written by a woman - and had that flavor. Not perfect, not as good as the first, but if they work on it (and ditch the Audis) this could be a worthwhile franchise in the "M.I.," "007," "Reacher," "Taken" genre. + The girls as beautiful but abused McGuffinettes was certainly OK with its trafficking element. They seemed well cast. Better development of their backstory to draw us in sympathetically would've helped. + Skrein gets it done tho' it'd've been nice to see Statham cameo in a Big Bro hand-off role instead of the Dad story element. + The movie run time at 1:35 approximately was a good move; but some of the stunt sequences could've been better realized with better set-up.
So, better than than the ratings show here, 2nd best of the theatricals. It nearly gets it done as good motivated action entertainment. Go for it ...
