Review of The Transformers: The Movie (1986) by Matthew — 08 Jul 2009
I've loved this movie since I was 4 years old. Aside from all the action and awsome characters, this movie "rocks". The soundtrack alone is one of the best I've ever heard. Not to mention an awsome number of cool cast members: Judd Nelson(The Breakfast Club) as Hot Rodd, Leonard Nimoy(Star Trek) as Galvatron, Robert Stack as Ultra Magnus, Orson Welles as Unicron, John Moshetah(the Micro Machine Man) as Blurr, Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime and Iron Hide, Frank Welker as Megatron and other voices, Susan Blue as Arcee, Casey Kasem as Cliffjumper, Scatman Crothers as Jazz, Lionel Stander as Kup,and Eric Idle as Wreck Garr.
When I saw the new Transformers movie, I was ticked off with just about everything. I didn't expect it to be completely like the original, but I was hoping it would be similar to it and the comics, but it wasn't.
The only thing that Bay did right was star Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, because he was the original voice of Prime in the series and the animated movie. Other than that, the new movie "ain't worth scrap".
Believe me if you want a great plot line, adventure, great music, or just simply relive your child hood, this is the movie for you."Till all are one.".
