Review of The Transformers: The Movie (1986) by James M — 28 Nov 2009
The animation looks bad in comparison to modern animated films, but for those who can handle the Anime-style this is definately worth watching. Much better than the 2007 live-action shambles for the following reasons:
1. It has a good storyline.
2. It has thrills, drama and tragedy.
3. It doesn't contain a nonsense sub-plot about a pair of glasses that hold the key to Megatron's whereabouts.
4. John Turturro isn't in it.
5. Jon Voight isn't in it.
6. Megan Fox isn't in it, constantly having a look on her face that her shit smells like roses.
7. It contains the song that Mark Wahlberg sings in Boogie Nights on the soundtrack.
Do yourself a favour. Watch this, don't watch Michael Bay's celluloid diarrhoea.
