Review of The Transformers: The Movie (1986) by Mars L — 17 Jan 2010
A clunker of a film. Perhaps the Transformers cartoon was just not strong enough to survive 90 minutes. It didn't help that many of the best characters were killed off and the movie was set in the future.
I much preferred the early parts of the animated series and the stress of adding new characters for the purpose of selling new toys was beginning to show here.
