Review of The Transformers: The Movie (1986) by John M — 29 May 2012
This film will delight both children and adults older enough to know better. Although the animation is subpar by today's standards the storyline is well constructed and cohesive, with just the right amount of intrigue, action, adventure and sadness.
It should be noted however if you are an adult with no fond childhood memories of transformers, then this will probably not be for you, as it does not delve into the back-story of the characters as the story is designed as feature length episode after the end season 1 of the classic cartoon series, thus it can result in the viewer feeling somewhat bewildered by just what is happening, however if like many you were a huge transformers addict as a child, this is a cult classic and a well worth walk down memory lane.
