Review of The Train Robbers (1973) by Adam D — 06 Jan 2014
The wife of a deceased robber hires a gunman to retrieve and return the gold her late husband had stolen to its rightful owners. A pretty straight forward storyline that in fact doesn't even stand out among the countless other John Wayne starring western.
It lacks a certain depth in favour of the usual structure. Though it has the odd exciting chase and action sequence expected from a high budget western, it's rather plain and two dimensional to stand the test of time.
