Review of The Tracker (2001) by Alister N — 03 Jun 2007
A simple enough treatment, but the mythic and political proportions of the narrative and metaphor lift above these trappings. The depictions of violence too are represented by paintings (by Peter Coad) rather than actualised scenes, the landscape and portraits of the characters too is most passionate and resonant, especially through the main representation of David Gulpilil.
