Review of The Toxic Avenger (1984) by Billy P — 13 Mar 2009
Directed by Troma's own Lloyd Kaufman, this movie has a special place in my heart. This is by far not an epic of any kind, but it did break the ice for me with awesomely ridiculous B-Movies. Bad acting, nudity, and ludicrous violence is very abundant in this film so I would not suggest it if you're squeamish.
The basic story is about a fella named Melvin who's very socially awkward and one day a prank on him goes out of hand and he ends up in a vat of toxic waste. After the events with toxic waste Melvin transforms into a super-hero named the Toxic Avenger whom only seeks out evil and destroys it.
