Review of The Town that Dreaded Sundown (2014) by Purple J — 12 Feb 2015
While I haven't seen the original, I'd say that this movie works pretty well on its own. There is a certain uniqueness to the execution of the film that makes it more than just an awful horror remake that we see so many of.
This adaptation of The Town That Dreaded Sundown is at times very intense, but has its fair share of self-deprecating humor. The ending is a little too cliched for my taste, but the movie as a whole was quite satisfying.
