Review of The Town (2010) by Milena G — 25 Sep 2012

I finally saw this movie. It only took two years to find out what all the hype was about and I wish I jumped on The Town train years ago. The cast is amazing! Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall and of course Ben Affleck are highlights from the astoundingly talented cast.

The plot intertwining a group of robbers, a bank manager and the FBI into something simplistic and complicated at the same time. At the end I didn't know whether to scream or laugh. A good tale told with images and spark creating dialogue.

I expected a crime drama; what I got was so much more than the surface. Affleck went above my expectations as a Director, Writer and actor. What a story! You know where Ben Affleck has been all these years? I think he's been raising the bar for movie makers/creators/actors everywhere. I can't say enough good things about this movie. I'd watch it tomorrow. It's fantastic.
