Review of The Town (2010) by Mitch S — 21 Apr 2013
Well cast, well written, often understated and smart enough to stick to a classic narrative arc. Writer / director Ben Affleck seems to know what he wants, gets it, and has the innate good sense to allow the many tribal legends and myths of Boston guide his hand.
Blake Lively in an exceptional supporting role never allows the story to lose touch with its premise, the legendary Charlestown enclave - and its metaphorically imprisoned natives.
