Review of The Town (2010) by Aaron J — 25 May 2013
Enthralling, Mindblowing, Powerhouse, First Class crime thriller. Ben Affleck shows that he may just become the next Martin Scorsese with The Town. The Town tells the story of four bank robbers who are just looking for a way to make more money.
Ben Affleck plays Douglas McRay, the ringleader of the team of robbers, Jeremy Renner plays his psychotic best friend who is just plain blood hungry. Rebecca Hall plays a woman who was the manager of a bank that the team robbed, and as Douglas was supposed to help make sure that she couldn't I.
D. them , he beginss to fall in love with her. Jon Hamm plays an F.B.I. agent who is always hot on the teams tracks. I don't want to give away the plot because I tend to give away too much. This film is truly an exciting mindbender.
It never fails to entertain with its fast-cut edits, Its first class cast and masterful dialoge. Ben Affleck and Jeremy Renner were just dynamic on the screen, with such intense performances. Jeremy Renner is just one of the actors that you love to see dominate the screen.
The Town is one of those thriller, that once you see it you won't forget about it. This film is destine to be nominated for some Academy Awards, Especialy a Best Director for Ben Affleck, Best Picture and Best Screenplay, this film is just too damn good to be ignored.
I say its one of the ten best films of the year, and I give it ****.
