By the end this turns out to be a half decent crime film, but I can't say I was overly impressed by the build up of character. Some of the scenes throughout felt a little 'On-the-nose' and conveniently scripted to me and I'm not entirely sure that, given the ample runtime, this film ever really took me to the heart of the characters or made me care enough.

I just couldn't help thinking throughout that I'd rather be watching 'Heat' - a film that more or less covers the same themes, but in a much more involving manner.
