Review of The Towering Inferno (1974) by Daniel K — 01 Dec 2009
Epic 70's blockbuster with an all star cast which lost favour a bit after 9/11 but is well worth a watch. The fire burns unfeasibly slowly at first, with everyone steadfastly failing to check the Store Cupboard on Floor 81.
.. But as the death toll rises and the ways of getting the penthouse party guests out get more daring, this film manages some genuine moments of drama and tension.
