The best of the many catastrophe movies of the 70es and one of the best of all time thanks to a great all-star cast and remarkable special effects. Fred Astaire received an Oscarnomination for best supporting actor for his fine work and deserved to win as did his co-star Jennifer Jones in a beautiful comeback performance.
