"The Tourist" 10 Scale Rating: 6.0 (Decent) ...

While it wasn't spectacular, it was much better than critics made it out to be.

Elise (Angelina Jolie) is being followed by the police. In an attempt to throw them off the trail of her lover-turned-fugitive, she involves a school teacher named Frank (Depp) from Wisconsin that she meets on a train. The gambit pays off and the police fall for it ... but now an international gangster who wants Elise's lover dead now believes Frank to be the man he is looking for.

Sure, it was slower at times than it needed to be, but it was interesting enough to keep me invested. I wanted to know what was going on and looked forward to the end game ... which actually ended up being decent if not a tad bit predictable.

Lastly, Jolie and Depp had zero chemistry and that alone prevented this from being a truly good film. Instead, it will have to settle for decent and worth watching if you're bored.
