Review of The Tourist (2010) by Tracie T — 19 Feb 2012

I must admit I didn't hold high hopes for this film and have avoided sitting down to it for quite some time. I also must admit that as I finally sat down to watch it I started to grow restless and questioned my ability to see it through.

However...I warmed to it and whilst often it doesn't quite 'hit the mark' it has elements of the classics in it..which, when recognized, allows you to cope so much more with it's tedious pace and questionable dialogue.

I was onto it pretty early in the piece because I know my cues too well to get any surprises in even the best of films..but strangely it has grown on me so much that I really rather like it and will watch it again.

.and perhaps even own it. It's an indulgence for sure, could have been so much better, but still, delicious.
