Review of The Tourist (2010) by Rosie H — 08 Mar 2012

I believe this movie was produced because Hollywood knows that Angelina Jolie sells. She has to be the only reason this movie was even produced. I have nothing against the woman and think she's a decent actress. However, there are many men out there who believe she is the hottest thing next to the sun and I just don't get it. Ms. Jolie is a walking skeleton with big lips. I don't know if they're real or not but this movie sought to please her fan club by featuring her grinning and smirking half the time while showing close-ups of her in different costumes that I guess were supposed to highlight her backside. The only problem is....she doesn't have a backside. There's nothing there! Her legs go straight up into her back. In all fairness there may be a semblance of a microscopic bump back there but the rest is all exaggerated by her clothes and her sauntering.

That's what this movie was about. Ms. Jolie sauntering, smirking, teasing and wearing clothes that make her admirers drool. The plot was stupid and Johnny Depp was weird.

A complete waste of time.
