Review of The Tourist (2010) by Gabriele V — 14 Aug 2012
Angelina Jolie seems to have been type cast in this type of movie after her successful role in Mr & Mrs Smith & now seems to play this role much too often. We've had Wanted, Salt & now this where she plays a secret agent trying to capture a wanted fraudster by the name of Alexander Pearce.
It's an interesting mix of genre's with light comedy & romance thrown into the mixer with the thriller genre as the main ingredient. There are a few twists and turns and the movie has you thinking is the American tourist, played by Johnny Depp, an innocent holiday maker thrown into danger by the attentions of Scotland Yard & a muderous gangster, or is he the elusive Alexander Pearce?
