Review of The Tourist (2010) by Nene J — 15 Feb 2013

The Tourist has an utterly ridiculous and predictable plot, characters that make very little sense, and the blandest, uninspired acting I've seen. Jolie and Depp have no chemistry whatsoever and neither one can act.

But, I still liked this film a little; there's a slight classic film feel to it. Running on rooftops, Depp reminds me of something Cary Grant-ish. It's a very decent film, even though it is supposed to be a thriller.

There's no blood and gore you see too much in films these days, so, in that sense I found the film quite refreshing. It has a bit of sophistication, and the scenery is beautiful.
