Review of The Tomorrow War (2021) by Evokings — 06 Jul 2021
I had high hopes for this movie, but ended up disappointed the structure of the movie sort of starts off strong with a premise that the viewer wants to see more of, but after it's explained the movie sort of looses it's direction, and the plot goes all over the place, J.k Simmons shows up in the movie all buff like he was just cast to kill a predator or something for the state farm clan, and this movie is what I call a Pratt fall, there is moments where I wish the director or script or Chris Pratt would have shined but the movie is clueless and lacks tact to know when to be more dramatic or be more detailed and the acting from Chris Pratt in a lot of scenes felt like Mark Wahlberg in the 00s movie The Happening.
Overall a disappointing movie it was not terrible just never took advantage of it's potential and left me wondering if they just did a few things differently it would have been a better movie.
