I definitely had my doubts about whether or not I'd enjoy this movie, seeing as how the subject material left so much room for things to go wrong. I was pleasantly surprised by how the movie played out.
The ensemble cast is great. Aubrey Plaza stretches and breaks free from her typical, deadpan mold in this role. Bill Hader and Clark Gregg are hilarious. Normally I'm not a huge fan of gross-out moments, but there was something oddly charming and quirky about how it was pulled off in this movie.
The awkwardness of these situations is fully captured, and it just seemed to work.
