Review of The To Do List (2013) by Tom L — 29 Jul 2013
....Some younger no names and a couple of former SNL guys.
Gather in a "Low Comedy"/Satire about a very smart young lady.
Heading into the collegian years a rather up tight, over educated.
Virgin.
.....Peer pressure between her school mates, 2 gal friends, a sexually sophisticated.
Sis, a rather relaxed mother are too much and she goes about listing, in a studious.
Way one act of sexuality to the next. Alas the emotional context is not recognized.
That gets her into major problems with people, places, and friends.
....The list could have used both abbreviation and far more imagination in.
Making all funny poignant. There are laughs, there is the struggle with sex.
We all recognize but after the initial 40 minutes it simply stalls.
.....I think using a real nerdish gal as the lead would have helped instead of show.
Casing an attractive star of tomorrow. The cast is good but not brilliant but I did.
Enjoy the parents and the pool guy that cannot swim. But again, as to the latter,.
He needs to be a wonderful diversion not a mainstay.
.....So blame this on script issues mostly and Hollywood casting.
That is mixed.
Sorry but 2 Stars.
