Review of The To Do List (2013) by Joshua C — 12 Nov 2013
A throwback to the 90s is just where it started to go downward spiral for this Aubrey Plaza-starring movie. The To Do List suffers from being too one-dimensional, constantly going for the shock factor, in this case with over-the-top sexual elements, and finally, trying so hard to be a film about growing up (or lack thereof), a film about friends and family, and a workplace comedy at the same time, none of which the film succeeded.
Screenplay had a major case of monotonous everything, and overall the film left a lot to be desired. Was it as bad as another throwback 90s comedy Take Me Home Tonight? Maybe, but both are disappointments to many that I can say for certain.
