Review of The Tingler (1959) by Dave S — 13 Dec 2008
Fails at the whole "campy b-movie" thing just by being so darn good - sharp writing, all around competent, and a great supporting cast of odd characters. Best of all is Vincent Price, who plays a supremely unethical protagonist very seriously - I don't know if I liked it better when he was cheerfully irradiating his wife (in the name of science but also a little revenge) or casually giving acid to a deaf mute with anxiety issues.
