I found out about harvey milk when I was in university, studying film...it was in a class called "the representation of sex & gender in film" that I was given the chance to see this film, study it and learn as much as I could about what he did for the gay rights movement.

absolutely amazing story, tragic and heartwrenching...incredible, especially for a documentary. the story was told in a way that made you feel a part of the movement...that what he stood for affects all of us, past and present, who care about and believe in the issue, and equality for all.
