Review of The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) by James R — 26 Apr 2011
Wow this is one sad movie. Definitely a tear jerker. I enjoyed the movie despite all the negative reviews that it got. The basic story is that a man has a rare condition that has him disappear on a whim and time travel. The concept sounds crazy and it sure is.
The film brings up problems with relationships such as how do you deal with someone always gone, how do you learn to cope with worrying all the time, how do you have a family?
The films stars Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. They both are great actors and had some super great chemistry. By the end of the film I really felt like I cared about their relationship. They deal with so much and make so much sacrifices, but love each other so much. When a loss comes near the end it hits super hard.
The movie is super sad, but if you want a nice movie to snuggle up next to a loved one this would be it.
