This was definitely a tear-jerker, or at least an attempted tear-jerker! But no, I did not cry during this film. It was a sweet story, even if a tad convoluted at times and cheesy, but overall not a bad film for a one time viewing.
The acting was fine, I've seen better from McAdams but she doesn't disappoint here. Bana was fine as well, but his character unfortunately got dealt most of the cheese from the script. My mother loved the book, which is much better than the film I have heard, so I'll have to check that out.
Not a bad movie, give it a go, just don't expect too much from it.
