Review of The Time Traveler's Wife (2009) by Humberto O — 20 Feb 2014
I still don't know if I just saw this movie or just had a chayote ice pop. Eric Bana plays a (sort of) pervert that travels thought time and destroys the life of a very, VERY stupid and annoying child and.
.. yeah, that's it. That's the entire movie. In one line. He appears naked all the time (with a convenient excuse for that in the plot), so I guess this movie's target audience are little girls and lonely woman.
The problem is that he is so extremely boring and plain, and his acting is so mediocre, that I think even these people might be turned off. The characters are uni-dimensional and shallow, and inspire no sympathy whatsoever from the audience.
You won't relate with ANY of them, I guarantee it. It even has some characters that could be totally removed from the movie and it wouldn't make any difference AT ALL. This movie isn't bad, but is SO boring and the plot is so flawed that you'll pray for it to end.
This is Somewhere in Time mixed with 20 tablets of Ambien, so get ready to be completely bored by this in the first 5 minutes.
