Quite dated, but interesting and more consistent than the 2002 remake which I own on DVD.
The effects have dated badly, (the only thing the 2002 version holds over this one), and the film feels quite old, more like a 1930's or 40's film in its style, rather than 1960.
The monsters are quite silly looking but the film was targeted more at kids in 1960.
