Review of The Time Machine (1960) by Allan C — 27 Dec 2012
The H.G. Wells tale is reduced into a kids adventure film, but it's still a very good bit of science fiction adventure. The time travel sequence into the future is the highlight of the film, but the vividly depicted future is also a lot of fun, with the passive humans and the Morlocks who use then as cattle.
It's quite entertaining, but it's not science fiction, unlike the book.
