Review of The Tillman Story (2010) by Marcus H — 16 Mar 2011
Everybody knows Pat Tillman as the NFL player who joined the military only to be killed in Iraq, but his story is full of deception, heartbreak and a government cover-up that possibly reaches as far as the President.
This is an emotional film sure to garner a response from all who see it. It's hard to believe the most famous enlisted man at the time could get killed by something so stupid as friendly fire, and it remains baffling the military still hasn't fessed up as to how something like this actually happened.
The doc does a good job at giving us a peek into Tillman the man and those closest to him and asks a lot of questions about the military and Bush administration, many of which remain unanswered.
