Review of The Thrill of It All (1963) by Alexa B — 31 Jul 2008
First of all, to give the movie credit, it's really funny. I loved those funny situations during her first TV appearance so much, and there were so many huge moments in the movie, it's definitely worth watching it.
But I've got to do some criticizing too. Now, I don't wanna sound more emancipated than I am, but I think the fact that she gave up her job to become a mother again was really.... well, you name it. I know, it's a movie from 1963, but after having seen "Lover come back" and "Pillow talk" where Day played career women, I think it would have been a better ending if the two had managed to do both jobs and family...
Nevertheless, as I said, it's really worth watching it (even though I totally missed Rock Hudson.... ;) ).
