Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by Andy W — 02 Apr 2012
Lame attempt to gee up classic story with a Pirates of the Caribbean-steampunk edge which only adds to the silliness. It all looks flash, but the false bravado, naff dialogue and some poor casting choices hinders the film completely.
Only Mads Mikkelsen comes out of this experience with any dignity. I've said it before, and I'll say it again - How does Paul Anderson keep making films? (I know, his films make money, but even so.
..).
