Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by Ak K — 27 May 2012
Well, though visually VERY ambitious, this adaptation of the Dumas classic isn't well adapted. The casting also leaves a bit to be desired. Logan Lerman, while at ease with the camera, needs to work his acting muscles much more, and Milla Jovovich has never been an actress I found compelling.
The actress playing Constance was also clearly cast because of her perfect face, and the fact that she could speak coherently. I do love the actors playing the Musketeers and Orlando Bloom is actually much more impressive than I expected.
Fun but lacking substance.
