Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by Thomas M — 20 Sep 2012
I love movies with sword play, so when I saw the trailer for this 6 mos ago I couldn't wait to see it! I was disappointed to see the majority of the reviews were bad but I thought it would at least have alot of swordplay, right? WRONG! 3 very mediocre scenes (1 ripped off from 300, 1 from the matrix, and the finale.
..well just plain and BORING!!!) How can you screw up a classic like this? The acting is not only bad but it is badly over the top! The writing is amature! But it's neither the actors fault or the writers.
The fault lies squarely on the shoulders of the director. Paul W.S. (I assume that stands for Worthless S**t) Anderson has absolutely NO eye or talent for making movies. And what a pretentious name! Clearly he thinks way to much of his abilities as a director.
And with a body of work that consists of the Resident Evil franchise...well, I should have known. He steals from 300, Matrix and the Pirates of the Caribean. Im only sorry I contributed to the box office wknd gross.
I can't imagine what would make W.S. think that anyone would be excited about a sequel....UGH!!! Upon leaving the movie theatre I can honestly say that the only thing I enjoyed about the movie was the NACHOS!!! Take my advice, save yourself!
