Review of The Three Musketeers (2011) by Lasse C — 07 May 2013
Standing on the shoulders of better films. Watching this, it was clear that it tried to emulate the style of several other and better movies. The modern Sherlock Holmes was a clear source of inspiration but also Pirates of the Caribbean style elements were clear.
So now that it has been established that this movie would rather be anything else than it is, I should probably write something about it. It was god awful. In a sea of crap, however, Milla Jovovich manages to shine as the absolute worst thing about it.
I mean, what happened to her, ever since Joan of Arc she hasn't actually acted. She goes on set, gets her make up on and appears to think to herself; "how can I possibly emote less than I did last time?" Simply dreadful.
