Review of The Three Mesquiteers (1936) by Kevin M. W — 30 Sep 2018
What could be better than a buddy Western? How about having three pals instead? Meanwhile, in a bid to control the tiny but clean town of Prospect the no-good bad guys steal the money from the local bank and hide it in order to bankrupt the town and thereby assume control of the whole kit-n-kaboodle (Instead of just taking the money and running, like nearly anybody else woulda done.
These are smart bad guys.). Early James Bond types, the good guy cowboys are never really in trouble, with a witty comeback ready for every dire situation. Standard stuff? Pretty much. But decently executed.
