Review of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada (2005) by Aki M — 02 Dec 2008
Tommy Lee Jones is a great actor and after The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada he can be also credited as a a promising director. The movie is slow but interesting. Jones's character is going to bury his Mexican friend back to his hometown.
He kidnaps a border patrol officer who killed accidentally the Mexican. These two wander in the deserts and sierras of the States and Mexico. It is interesting to watch how the characters evolve during the film.
Maybe little editing would have done good, because the film is little too long.
