Review of The Thomas Crown Affair (1999) by Eric D — 08 Jan 2008

Russo is surprisingly sexy in this romantic thriller. I wasn't too thrilled with her character's arrogance at the beginning, but it settled down midway through the film. Pierce Bon-uh... BROSNAN seems a bit typecast as the rich thief. He isn't at all believable when he attempts to show his feelings (and these are rare showings, at that). The plot's entertaining though, and the movie doesn't drag too much. Denis Leary was also bearable.

There is a great twist, which wasn't as predictable as some twists have become (since they became ever so fashionable circa 1997) but was kinda bogged down by a typical ending.
