Review of The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) by Rod A — 23 May 2009
After seeing this a second time, I really enjoyed Dunaway's performance. Her part is shallow and weak, yet she pulls off some real moments. McQueen plays it cool. Sometimes it works and sometimes it's too much.
Another star of the picture is Haskell Wexler's cinematography. This movie looks good. It's a pretty self-indulgent film considering everything that was going on in 1968.
