Review of The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) by Greg N — 03 Jul 2012
The movie opens with the 60s musical gem The Windmills of My Mind, setting the tone for one of the grooviest, most stylish films from the 60s. I have never understood the allure of Steve McQueen, but the amazing Faye Dunaway is so compelling, sexy and powerful that he seems to rise to the occasion with her and they are wonderful together.
He is a debonair, millionaire bank robber and she is the slinking insurance investigator out to catch him - until they fall for each other. Great story, cleverly filmed. (And Faye's wardrobe is amazing!).
