I believe the majority of people who rate this movie take it too seriously. It feels like the producer intended to create a 'B' movie atmosphere and, for the most part, he succeeded. I absolutely love the concept although many aspects could have been handled differently (especially the over-serious Douglas Hall.
All in all, a very good and entertaining movie - just don't over think it. If you liked The Island, The Truman Show or Tron, you're in for a fun ride!
